Rewa is a small city in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It is 250 km from Jabalpur and Varanasi and is connected by trains and roads. Often referred to as “The City of White Tigers”, this place holds many secrets. One such secret is the Vultures. You will feel the royal essence of this city once you walk around the palace and museums and understand its cultural heritage and where it came from. Assisted with huge waterfalls, canyons, and large wastelands are one of the key attractions of this place. You would not like to miss such a chance!
This trip's primary focus is to witness the wildlife in the open forest which will enable the senses to learn about the interconnection of wild animals with the vultures. If we talk about the species, there are more than vultures to witness. What are they? Here is a short list of our target species:
Birds: Indian Vulture, Red-headed Vulture, Egyptian, Himalayan Griffon Vulture (Janary-March), White-backed Vulture (occasional), Indian Eagle Owl, Scops Owl, Spotted owlet, Barn owl, Short-eared owl (November-January), Bonelli's Eagle, Booted eagle, Indian spotted eagle, Short-toed snake eagle, Desert wheatear (November-February), Kestrel, species of flycatcher, Indian stone curlew, Small minivet, ground-feeding birds like Quails, Francolin, Sandgrouse.
Mammals: Hyena, small cat species like Jungle cat, Rusty-spotted cat, Desert cat, Jackals, Foxes, Indian Grey Mongoose
Reptiles: Monitor lizard, python, checkered keelback, and varieties of moth.
Bonus: Variety of wild animals and vultures feeding on a carcass!

- Lunch followed by a local tour of the city.
- Discussion on “The Last Vulture”.
- Post dinner bonfire while enjoying the personal stories.
- Retire for the day.
- Get ready by 7:00 AM, breakfast is served.
- Gather to board the vehicle by 8 AM
- Performing river crossing & directly heading towards the waterfall.
- Sighting the colonies and early flight of vultures.
- Followed by walking trail & performing the sightings.
- Return to the vehicle to depart for the hotel
- Lunch is served followed by an hour of relaxing time
- Gather to review photographs & discuss the post-processing sessions.
- Dinner is served and retire for the day
- Get ready by 7:00 AM and breakfast is served.
- Gather to board the vehicle by 8:00 AM
- Searching the target species.
- Walk of 4-5 km long passing through wastelands & riverside including farmlands.
- Lunch is served amongst the incredible Valley.
- Witnessing one of the battlefield places, Keoti along with birds.
- Return to the hotel and discussion time
- Dinner is served and retire for the day
- Wake up at 6 AM.
- A short trip to Rani Talao early morning for snake sighting
- Breakfast is served.
- The trip ends with great memories.
